Plumb Memorial Library in Shelton to host 'Chocolate Olympics' for kids




SHELTON - Plumb Memorial Library will host a new program debuting in February for fans of chocolate.
"Chocolate Olympics" will be held from 11 a.m.-noon Feb. 23 at the Library, 65 Wooster St.
The program is for children ages 4 and up.

Contestants will compete and test their knowledge of chocolate through trivia and games of skill too! This event will require handling of food.
Caregivers must remain with their children for program duration.
Registration is required for children only and begins Tuesday, Jan. 31 at noon either here on Miss Maura's Programs Facebook page or by calling 203-924-1580 ext. 5108.

Kellogg Environmental Center in Derby to hold virtual nature-themed trivia night

DERBY - Do you know something about nature or the outdoors? 

Join the Kellogg Environmental Center staff as they host a nature-themed trivia night from 7-8:30 p.m. Aug. 11 via Zoom.

Participants will compete in three rounds of trivia questions. 

There will be stretch breaks and icebreaker activities in-between. 

The questions will vary in difficulty, and cover a variety of topics including plants, animals, geology, and natural history.

Oxford Public Library to host Virtual Teen Trivia Tuesday


OXFORD - Oxford Public Library will host
"Virtual Teen Trivia" for ages 12 and up at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday.

Test your knowledge against your friends! Categories will include Connecticut
History, Video Games, Music, Weird Science, and Books!
The winner will receive a $10 Amazon gift card!

Nature-themed trivia night on tap at Kellogg Environmental Center in Derby


DERBY - The Kellogg Environmental Center will  host a nature-themed trivia night from 6:30-8 p.m. July 25

Teams will compete in three rounds of trivia questions, and prizes will be awarded at the end. 
The questions will vary in difficulty, and cover a variety of topics in plants, animals, and natural history.
Participants are encouraged to bring their own snacks/food, and the grounds will be open at 6 for picnicking. No alcohol is permitted in the park. Popcorn will be available during the event. 
This indoor event will be held rain or shine.
Admission is free; registration is recommended.

The Kellogg Environmental Center, 500 Hawthorne Ave., is operated by the Department of Energy and Environmental Protection. It is open Tuesday through Saturday from 9 a.m.-4:30 p.m.
