Move Better as You Age program slated at Huntington Branch Library

SHELTON -  Registration for the program Move Better as You Age with Shaun Zetlin at the Huntington Branch Library is now open!

Adult patrons can join us at the Huntington Branch on Saturday Aug. 22 from 12-1:30 p.m. for a workshop to improve strength, balance, and confidence for everyday life and provide practical tools to support mobility, balance, and independence.

Patrons are encouraged to bring a water bottle and yoga mat or towel.

The presenter, Shaun Zetlin, is a local author, fitness professional, and motivational speaker with over 20 years of experience. Books will be available for purchase and signing by the author after the program.

America in the 1930s: The United States in the 1930s is known mainly for one thing, the Great Depression. 

While it is true that America was ravaged by the Great Depression, it was also a time of many other firsts in America and the creation of the America we live in. Come and learn more about the 1930s.

Shelton Library System announces holiday schedule

SHELTON - The Plumb Memorial and Huntington Branch Libraries will be closed on April 3 for Good Friday.

Plumb Memorial Library will be open Thursday (4/2) from 9 a.m.-7 p.m. and the Huntington Branch will be open from 10 a.m.-5 p.m.

On Saturday (4/4), the Plumb will be open from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. and the Branch will be open from 10 a.m.-3 pm.

When we are closed, online services such as databases, downloadable ebooks (such as Libby and the Palace Project), and streaming movies (Hoopla) are available 24/7 free with a Shelton Library card: https://sheltonlibrarysystem.org/services/#online-services

SHELTON - Plumb Memorial Library will present the movie "Joy" at 1 p.m. Friday as part of its bimonthly “Friday Films” series. 

The film will be viewed in the downstairs Meeting Room. The Library is at 65 Wooster St.
