Seymour Public Library to show comedy/drama


SEYMOUR - Seymour Public Library will show the comedy/drama Jerry & Marge Go Large at 10:30 a.m. Jan. 13. 
The movie is based on the true story about long-married couple Jerry and Marge Selbee who win the lottery and use the money to revive their small town. 
Starring Bryan Cranston and Annette Bening.
FREE. RATED PG-13:1 hour, 36 minutes

Bishop Wicke Health and Rehabilitation Center in Shelton to hold career fair


SHELTON - Bishop Wicke Health and Rehabilitation Center, an award-winning, five-star rated skilled nursing and rehab community, will host a career fair Jan. 10 from 1-5 p.m. 

The in-person event will offer opportunities for on-the-spot interviews for a variety of positions, including Dining Aides, Cook Supervisor, Dietetic Tech, R.N.s, and C.N.A.s.

 

The facility, which was recently recognized with U.S. News and World Report’s “Best Nursing Homes” designation for 2022-23, is part of the Wesley Village senior living campus. Bishop Wicke has a long history of five-star care, staff longevity, and overall excellence, and is looking to expand its team for the new year.

Health care professionals, local high school and college students pursuing a health care or hospitality career, or anyone looking for a fresh start with a new position while working in a caring environment are encouraged to attend.

Derby Neck Library slates Baby Stories and Senses Tuesday sessions



DERBY - A special story and playtime at Derby Neck Library just for babies and toddlers! 
We'll start with some songs, stories, and lap bounces, followed by 20 mins or so of free play! We'll have interactive toys perfect for those practicing tummy time up to those learning to stand and walk, such as shakers, interactive mats, water tables, and more!
This program is targeted to ages Birth-3, but older siblings are welcome, too!

Connecticut Foodshare truck to return Tuesday to St. Mary's Church in Derby
