Derby Public Library to present movie matinees Tuesday, April 22

Masonicare at Crosby Commons in Shelton to host downsizing presentation

SHELTON - Seniors and caregivers are invited to Masonicare at Crosby Commons for “Downsizing Demystified: How to Effectively Declutter Any Space,” a free presentation featuring Chris Johnston from Amston Home Transition Solutions and Keller Williams Realtor Danielle Rownin

The event will be held from 3-5 p.m. April 17 at Masonicare at Crosby Commons senior living community, 580 Long Hill Ave. 

Attendees will receive valuable guidance on downsizing and decluttering a home, senior relocation services, preparing for a move, selling an estate, and managing the emotional stress of the downsizing process.

Check-in will be available at the Masonicare at Crosby Commons front desk, and the event will be held in the Gallery. Tours of the community will also be available for those who are interested.

Derby Neck Library to host Afternoon Tea V Tuesday

DERBY - As in our pre-Covid days at Derby Neck Library, attendees will meet each Tuesday at 1 p.m. to enjoy a showing on our large-screen TV. Following the show, we will stay on for a discussion. 
Light, individually wrapped snacks and flavored teas are served at each meeting. 
Join us in the Community Room! The Library is at 307 Hawthorne Ave.

We ask that no food or drink be brought into the event at this time.

St. Barbara Greek Orthodox Church in Orange to host 'A Taste of Greece'


ORANGE - Saint Barbara Greek Orthodox Church will present "A Taste of Greece" May 3 and 4.
The church is at 480 Racebrook Road.

The menu will feature a selection of authentic Greek favorites, including gyro, souvlaki, spanakopita, pastitsio, Greek salad, pastries, and more.

CT Foodshare truck to visit St. Mary's Church in Derby Tuesday


DERBY - The CT Foodshare truck will return to St. Mary’s Church parking lot Tuesday, April 8 from 2:15-3 p.m. 

Tickets will be distributed to everyone PHYSICALLY IN LINE at 2 p.m. No income limits, no questions asked...just bring a bag to receive some food. Next visit will be April 22.
