Derby Public Library to reopen upgraded fiction room Monday
DERBY - Derby Public Library announced that its newly-enhanced fiction room on the Upper Level will re-open to the public Monday, April 25.
At that time, patrons will once again be welcome to browse the shelves for their favorite fiction novels, available in both standard and large print. And, of course, please feel free to ask one of the helpful staff members if you need assistance.

Griffin Bariatrics to host virtual presentations on weight-loss services
DERBY - Griffin Bariatrics will offer free virtual presentations on weight-loss services May 2 at 5:30 p.m., May 18 at 5:30 p.m., May 31 at noon, June 6 at 5:30 p.m., June 15 at 5:30 p.m., and June 28 at noon.
Led by Griffin Hospital Director of Bariatrics Dr. Abe Fridman, these seminars will explain how bariatric surgery can help patients lose significant amounts of weight, enhance their health, and provide long-term outcomes.
Additionally, techniques, support programs, pre- and post-operative expectations, and insurance questions are also discussed.
