Plumb Memorial Library in Shelton offers free Tai Chi classes for adults

SHELTON - Plumb Memorial Library is offering Tai Chi workshops for adults.
They will be held at 9 a.m. Wednesdays in the Meeting Room.
The class will be taught by Debbie Wooley, a certified instructor with the Health Institute. She has been practicing Tai Chi for the past 10 years and been teaching it for five years.
Debbie will be teaching the Tai Chi for Arthritis method which uses the Sun style. Each class will begin and end with a series of warm up and cool down exercises.
There is no prerequisite to participate in this class. No equipment is necessary and participants may do this seated if they feel more comfortable.
The program is free and open to the public.

Plumb Memorial Library in Shelton to host 'Christmas Around the World' program



SHELTON - Learn how different countries celebrate Christmas at 5 p.m. Dec. 13 at Plumb Memorial Library. 
Children ages 4-12 will read stories and create Christmas ornaments from around the globe! 

Caregivers must remain with their child and participate in this hands-on crafting program.

Seymour kicks off holidays with Christmas Parade today


SEYMOUR - The Christmas Parade kicks off at 2 p.m. today. Thank you, Santa for staying an extra day.
Please expect road closures and delays throughout the downtown area around 12 p.m. as participants need to register and line up.
