DERBY - The City of Derby invites you to participate in a Pride Month Flag Raising on Wednesday June 30, 2021 at 12 p.m. at Derby City Hall, 1 Elizabeth St.  

The event will be held at the City Hall Flag Poles on the Minerva Street side of the building.

All are welcome to attend.

City opens cooling station today at Ansonia High School



ANSONIA - Mayor David S. Cassetti is working with Superintendent of Schools Joseph DiBacco, Ansonia Board Of Education, and Ansonia Public Schools to open a COOLING STATION at Ansonia High School, starting today [Monday] at noon.
Cooling station will be open at the high school, 20 Pulaski Highway, from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. daily.

4th of JULY LEGION LIFTOFF!!
ANSONIA - Blast off Independence Day with the Gordon-Visselli American Legion Post 50 as they launch dozens of model rockets to celebrate the 4th of July.
Join in on the countdowns and recovery efforts as each rocket goes sky-high.
Free water and freeze pops will be provided during this fair-weather, family event. Lawn chairs or blankets are welcome.
The event will be held from 11 a.m.-12:30 p.m. July 4 at Nelligan Park on Doyle Drive (off Prindle Avenue).

Derby Public Library to host Teen Audiobook SYNC Chats via Zoom


DERBY - Derby Public Library invites all young adults ages 12 to 17 to virtual Teen Audiobook SYNC Chats from 4-5 p.m. July 7 and 21. 

Attendees are encouraged to engage in lively evaluations of two thematically-paired audiobooks to be offered weekly.
