TEAM posts partial list of Toys 4 Kids drop-off sites in area


These are just some of our TEAM Toys 4 Kids drop-off sites around our region! 

It really takes us all coming together to Make Magic Happen for over 2,000 children in our community. 

Please consider dropping off a new, unwrapped toy at one of these collection locations by Dec. 7.

My Sister's Place Thrift Store is located at 380  Main St., Ansonia. 

All profits support The Umbrella Center for Domestic Violence Services, a program of BHcare.

'Turnback Tuesday' features druggist, Bristol Drug Co. in Ansonia

Turnback Tuesday looks at Charles E. Bristol, Druggist. Charles opened his business, Bristol Drug Co., at 96 Main St., Ansonia (Opera House block) in 1890.

The store provided drugs, chemicals, acids as well as stationary, paints, oils and varnish. Charles’ son Theodore L. took over as President in 1892 but Charles remained involved until his death in 1919. Theodore stepped down as President in 1941.

DERBY - Video Game Club meets online and in our Community Room at Derby Neck Library every Tuesday between 3 and 6 p.m. - join us!

Derby Public Library offers kids Thanksgiving-themed activities


DERBY - Gather up a harvest of Fall and Thanksgiving-themed activities at our DIY Station in the Children's Room at Derby Public Library.

There's something for everyone including a turkey napkin ring craft, bookmarks, coloring sheets, and more! 

Gobble up some fun with our "Turkey Hunt" Challenge (scavenger hunt) in November. All activities at the DIY Station may be completed in person or are available to grab and go.

The Library is at 313 Elizabeth St.
