Mark Lanzieri and Friends to perform Friday on Derby Green


DERBY - The final Friday Night Dance Party on the Derby Green is tomorrow, Oct. 7, featuring the fabulous sounds of the Valley’s own crooner Mark Lanzieri and Friends. 

They’ll be performing from 6:30-8:30 p.m.

 

Come down to the Derby Green and kick off the long weekend with the sounds of Sinatra!!

 

Don’t forget to bring a friend.

Story time in Shelton to celebrate animals, feature tai chi, crafts

SHELTON - Move Like the Animals Story Time will be held from 10-11 a.m. this Saturday, Oct. 8 at Derby-Shelton Rotary Club Pavilion, 38 Canal St. East.

Children 3-8 years old are welcome to join Plumb Library's Miss Maura and tai chi instructor Miss Debbie for this special Saturday story time celebrating animals through books, musical movement, Tai Chi exercise, and craft fun!

Program Reminders:
1) Caregivers must remain with their children for program duration.
2) Parking is in the lot beside the Conti Building which is diagonal from the pavilion.
3) Please wear sneakers and dress for the outdoors.
4) There is NO bathroom at the pavilion, please plan accordingly.
5) Please bring a blanket or chair to sit on.
6) If it rains, program will be canceled for that day.

Seymour Public Library to host cooking fun for Tiny Food Explorers



SEYMOUR - Join Tiny Food Explorers at 10:30 a.m. Oct. 27 at Seymour Public Library for some fun with food! 
Come and explore new flavors and textures while playing games all about food and MyPlate! 
You’ll make a hands-on healthy snack that even the pickiest of eaters will be keen to try. All snack ingredients will be nut-free but may contain dairy. No food will be shared.
Registration is limited and required.
