Presentation at Seymour Historical Society highlights women's suffrage

Shelton Intermediate School Housemaster Carolyn Ivanoff, dressed as a suffragette, presented an informative program Sunday about women's suffrage at Seymour Historical Society headquarters.

Walnut Hill Community Church in Derby to hold Easter Extravaganza


DERBY - Walnut Hill Community Church will hold a free Easter Extravaganza from 2-3:30 p.m. Saturday at the church, 27 Ninth St.

There will be egg decorating using blown goose eggs that have been emptied and sanitized, Easter photos, craft making, and more.

There also will be a themed Easter basket giveaway.
