Seymour Public Schools to hold remote learning day Friday
As a result of the storm continuing into tomorrow, Seymour Public Schools will have another remote learning day for all students and staff on Friday, February 19, 2021.

DiBacco: Ansonia Public Schools to hold Snow Remote Learning Day Friday
Due to the weather forecast and the inclement weather Friday, February 19, 2021, Ansonia Public Schools will hold a Snow Remote Learning Day.
Staff and students will work from home; attendance will be taken, and the day is not added to the end of the school year.

Snowstorm forces closing of Griffin COVID-19 vaccination clinics in Shelton, Derby
Due to inclement weather, the Griffin Health COVID-19 Vaccination Clinics at 10 Progress Drive, Shelton and at Griffin Hospital, 130 Division St., Derby will be closed starting at 3 p.m. TODAY, Feb. 18.
We apologize for any inconvenience and offer the following make-up times for the cancelled appointments.
For appointments at 10 Progress Drive in Shelton:
* Individuals scheduled between 3-4 PM on Feb. 18 can come to the Shelton location between 7-11 AM on Sat., Feb. 20.
* Individuals scheduled between 4-5 PM on Feb. 18 can come to the Shelton location between 7-11 AM on Sun., Feb. 21.
* Individuals scheduled between 5-6 PM on Feb. 18 can come to the Shelton location between 8 AM - 4 PM on Mon., Feb. 22.
For appointments at Griffin Hospital, 130 Division St., in Derby:
* Individuals scheduled to receive their vaccination at Griffin Hospital between 3-6 PM on Feb. 18 can come to Griffin Hospital between 8 AM - 4 PM on Mon., Feb. 22.

DERBY - Due to impending weather conditions, all [Derby Public] Library services - including vestibule pick-up - will be closed at 1 p.m. today, Thursday, Feb. 18. Be safe.
Virtual meditation event to support The Valley Goes Pink Campaign

The Valley Goes Pink Campaign will host a live virtual meditation event from 7-8 p.m. March 11.
Hosted by Mindfulness Instructor Virginia Bressano, this event will feature the use of essential oils in meditation.
Participants will be shipped a special blend of oils specifically created for this event. If a person is unable to make the event, they can receive a recording of the program.
Laura Marasco, former owner of Exhale Studio in Shelton, is proud to sponsor this event.
“Many of us are experiencing high levels of stress due to the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic,” Marasco said. “Stress can be very harmful to a person’s health and well-being. Unfortunately, the studio closed due to the pandemic but the commitment to health lives on. This program will teach you ways to relieve stress and improve your wellness.”
