SEYMOUR - Join us from 10 a.m.-noon May 24 at Seymour Public Library to polish your interview skills and position yourself to stand out in the crowd!

Seymour Public Library to show movie 'Knock at the Cabin' Friday


SEYMOUR - Join us in the lower level auditorium of Seymour Public Library to watch a movie at 10:30 a.m. Friday. Light refreshments will be served.
We'll be showing "Knock at the Cabin" starring Dave Bautista, Jonathan Groff, Ben Aldridge, Nikki Amuka-Bird, Kristen Cui, Abby Quinn, and Rupert Grint.
It is rated R and its duration is 1 hour 42 minutes.
Summary: While vacationing at a remote cabin in the woods, a young girl and her parents are taken hostage by four armed strangers who demand they make an unthinkable choice to avert the apocalypse. Confused, scared, and with limited access to the outside world, the family must decide what they believe before all is lost.

Griffin Hospital in Derby to hold presentation on hip replacement

DERBY - Griffin Health will offer a free presentation on minimally invasive hip replacement surgery at 5:45 p.m. May17 at the hospital, 130 Division St.

Orthopedic Surgeon Philip Minotti, MD, will discuss the advanced direct anterior approach for hip replacement, which offers important advantages over standard surgical procedures.


Direct anterior hip replacement patients generally experience less pain along with a shorter length of stay in the hospital and faster recovery.

Dr. Minotti will be available at the end of the presentation to answer any questions from attendees. Refreshments will be served.
