Ansonia Nature Center to host Tellabration event Saturday for families

Karianna Rosenberg

Tellabration is a mammoth storytelling event - and that’s no Tall Tale!

It is a storytelling phenomenon, made up of dozens of storytelling happenings all over the world. Its purpose is to introduce adults, as well as children, to the pleasures of the oral art of storytelling. It is one of the programs offered by The Connecticut Storytelling Center, based in New London.

The Ansonia Nature Center will host a Tellabration for families at 2 p.m. this Saturday featuring performer Karianna Rosenberg.

Karianna guides listeners deep into their imaginations through her poetic and vivid imagery of world folk tales, myths, heroine and hero journeys, trickster tales, and nature stories. She also offers a growing number of personal stories about traveling adventures, her many marvelous wildlife encounters, and her original teaching stories.

Karianna has a unique ability to engage all of the senses as she takes her listeners on magical journeys to better understand and connect with themselves, other cultures, and the rest of the natural world.

A full listing of Tellabration sites in Connecticut with dates and times can be found by logging onto http://www.connstorycenter.org. and clicking on “Tellabration” or by calling The Connecticut Storytelling Center at 860-934-8165.
