Founders' Day draws a crowd Sunday in downtown Seymour

Licensed massage therapist Mark Mirabella offered free chair massages Sunday at the annual Seymour Founders Day downtown. Mirabella is the son of Elizabeth Anderson, owner of Lizzie's Corner Home Consignment and Gifts, 19 Bank St., Seymour.

The weather cooperated and hundreds were able to enjoy some old-fashioned festival fun.

Inflatables weren't invented when I was a kid! It must be fun to climb and bounce on them. 

Volunteers for Seymour Pink, Inc. work at the nonprofit's booth. 

It was a perfect afternoon for a stroll on Bank Street.

Carly's owner got her all dressed up for the occasion. I was happy she posed for me!

White Hills Fire Company in Shelton to host pancake breakfast

SHELTON - White Hills Fire Company will hold its annual pancake breakfast from 7:30-11:30 a.m. June 26 at the firehouse, 26 School St.

Cost is $7 for adults; $5 for children and senior citizens. Kids under 5 eat free.

From the Facebook event page: "Guests will enjoy an all-you-can eat, home cooked breakfast prepared by the members of the White Hills Fire Company and will be able to view the company's fire apparatus."
