Happy memories of a long-ago New Year's Day

We brought our first-born home on Jan. 1, 1989.  It was a perfect day to have our daughter come home with us.

Happy 2026! New Year's Eve was one for the books

New Year's Eve was peaceful. I relaxed and enjoyed a delicious dinner at a local restaurant with two friends.

All was calm, all was bright. That is, until we left the restaurant, wished each other Happy New Year and ... my car wasn't where I had parked it. It was gone. It had disappeared into thin air. Poof! 

That's a nice way of saying it was stolen while I was inside having a nice meal. And that was the second time in the past six months that the car was taken. 

And in December of 2023 we got rear-ended on an entrance ramp, leaving me without a car for more than two months.

The vehicle is clearly cursed.
