Plumb Memorial Library in Shelton to hold presentations on hiking

This talk is designed for people who are seeking the skills and confidence to explore Shelton’s 32-mile trail system (and beyond).

Topics include being prepared, finding your way, evaluating trail hazards, and the benefits of local hiking. How do you keep from getting lost? What if there’s a bear? What’s the best way to avoid ticks? Find the answers to these common questions and gain some practical tips for the trails.

Teresa Gallagher has been the city’s Natural Resource Manager since 2006, making use of her degrees in environmental science and geology. She supports the Shelton Trails Committee and has been involved with the creation and maintenance of the City’s trail system since the mid-1990s.

The sessions will be held at Plumb Memorial Library.
Three dates are available. Please register to save your spot.
