Sharing a bit of Derby history from the Library's 'Turnback Tuesday' feature

This week’s “Turnback Tuesday” features the Local History Room at Derby Public Library. It was originally called the Children’s Room back when the Library was dedicated in memory of Harcourt Wood in 1902. Children spent hours exploring the world of books here. The long table with built-in lights remains, albeit electrified for easier reading.
This interesting local history came up in my Facebook memories from three years ago today.
