Seymour Lions to collect funds, used eyeglasses at Stop & Shop

SEYMOUR - The Seymour Lions will be collecting funds from 8:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m. April 20 to donate to the Connecticut Lions Eye Research Foundation (CLERF). The event will be held at  Stop & Shop, 15 Franklin St.

They will also be collecting used eyeglasses and hearing aids to recycle and keep them out of the landfills.

Spring cleanup slated at Shelton History Center

SHELTON - Spring has sprung - get your gloves, shovels, and brooms ready for spring cleaning at Shelton History Center, 70 Ripton Road.

In celebration of Earth Day and anticipation of our warm weather events, Shelton History Center is holding its annual Spring Site Clean Up April 20 from 11 a.m.-3 p.m.

Come lend a helping hand! Great opportunity for community service or volunteer hours.
