Lawmakers to ring bell for Salvation Army at Stop & Shop in Ansonia


Derby Neck Library partners with farm, SVDP food bank for nutrition demos

DERBY - The Derby Neck Library in partnership with Massaro Farm and St. Vincent De Paul Thrift Shop and Food Bank is hosting Nutrition Demos from noon-2 p.m. every other Wednesday through March 25. 
The first one will be held Wednesday (Dec. 4) at the library, 307 Hawthorne Ave.
These demos are open to the public to attend and learn more about nutritious foods. 
Please note that food distribution occurs at these events for clients of St. Vincent de Paul. Resources are limited and will not be available for all attendees.

Ansonia Police: Child 1, missing; suspicious death investigated

*Sharing release posted Tuesday morning on the Ansonia Police Department Facebook page:

"The Ansonia Police Department is attempting to locate a missing one-year old child, Venessa Morales, who may be endangered. 
Venessa was living in Ansonia on Myrtle Avenue at a residence where there is an active suspicious death investigation, however Venessa was not in the home and we have not been able to locate her. 
Venessa is a white female with brown hair and brown eyes. 
Anyone with information is asked to contact the Ansonia Police Department at 203-735-1885."
