Ansonia Police: Water main break closes Platt Street, residents without water

ANSONIA - Due to a water main break on Platt Street, residents in and around the area will be without water until further notice.
Platt Street will also be closed between Prindle Avenue and Jewett and Elm Streets.
Clothing drive slated this weekend at Shelton company in memory of supervisor
SHELTON - A clothing drive at Blue Acorn ICI, 20 Constitution Blvd. South, will be held from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday and Sunday in memory of a supervisor who passed away unexpectedly the week before Christmas.
Carl was a lover of animals, loved people, and always helped anyone needing help even if the person was a stranger.
Organizers of the drive are requesting unwanted clothing, coats, boots, scarves, hats, anything that might help someone in need.
Donations for furry friends will also be accepted.
Derby Historical Society to host virtual lecture on The Narrows in Derby
The Narrows, a history lecture with Dr. Joe DiRienzo, will be held from 2-3 p.m. Feb. 27.

Ansonia Police seek community's help in locating missing teen

ANSONIA - Ansonia Police are attempting to locate a missing male juvenile, Lt. Patrick Lynch said in a release late Tuesday.
The missing juvenile is Kevahri Thompson, a 14- year old black male 5’7” tall, 150 pounds, with black shoulder-length, braided hair and brown eyes.
Kevahri was last seen at 9 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 19. He was wearing flannel pants, a white T-shirt, and a red sweater.
Kevahri’s family believes he could be in the area of Houston Avenue or Trumbull Avenue in Bridgeport.
