Kellogg Center in Derby to host programs for Scout badge requirements


DERBY - The Department of Energy and Environmental Protection’s Kellogg Environmental Center is hosting two programs in February focused on the Webelos Badge requirements for Into the Woods and Into the Wild
Schedule 
Into the Woods  
Feb. 11 9:30 a.m.-noon 
Into the Wild
Feb. 25 9:30 a.m.-noon 

Scouts interested in either or both of these programs are encouraged to call and register to participate.  Both of these badges are elective adventures which can be used toward acquiring the Arrow of Light Badge.  
All activities provided on either program day are designed to focus on the information and requirements of the badge.   
Join naturalists as they lead you through activities for Into the Woods that investigate forestry and tree basics, including identification, parts, and history of forests in Connecticut.  
Into the Wild will utilize bird biology and behavior as part of the wildlife badge and help scouts appreciate the diversity of backyard and citizen science projects.  
Registration is required to participate in either badge day. The fee is $5 per Scout.  Adults are asked to stay with their Scouts for the program. There is no fee for adults.
