Derby restaurant to host fundraiser for St. Mary-St. Michael School


Class at Derby Library to focus on using recycled cans to create garden containers

DERBY - The Derby Public Library has scheduled another Recycle, Repurpose, and Reuse Craft Class at 6:30 p.m. April 5.


Ansonia Animal Control Officer Jeanie Roslonowski returns to show 
participants ages 18 and over, how to recycle cans into beautiful and unique garden containers.  

Participants are asked to bring in empty cans, such as soup cans, with labels still on. They also will be shown how to layer the container for optimum plant growth.
The class also will include information on conservation and animal issues.
Registration is required.
