Ansonia Police seek public's help in locating missing person

The Ansonia Police Department is requesting the public’s assistance in locating a missing person, Mildred Soto-Guzman, 40, who was last spoken to on Aug. 11, 2026.
Soto-Guzman is described as being approximately 5'4" tall, weighing 180 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes. She was last seen wearing black leggings, a black shirt, and possibly sneakers.

Anyone with information regarding Soto-Guzman's whereabouts is asked to contact the Ansonia Police Department at 203-735-1885.

Trash, recycling collection in Shelton delayed a day for holiday


Due to the Labor Day Holiday, there will be no trash or recycling collection on Monday, Sept. 7, 2026.

Monday’s collection will be delayed one day.

For the rest of the week, put your trash and recycling out on your regular collection day. If it is not picked up that day, it will be collected the following day.

The Transfer Station and Shelton City Yard will be closed Monday, Sept. 7, 2026, and will reopen Tuesday, Sept. 8, 2026.
