Plumb Memorial Library in Shelton offers curbside pickup


Plumb Memorial Library has announced Curb Side Pickup service. 
Patrons are allowed to check out up to 5 items at a time with extended check out periods. Curb Side Service will be available Monday-Thursday, 10 AM - 2 PM.

Pickup service will work as follows:
- Before you call to request materials, please have your library card ready. If you are requesting materials online, please include the book or DVD title and the author's name.
- We cannot guarantee that all items you are looking for will be available, as some may be already checked out. Please have several alternates prepared and we will do our best to accommodate you.
- All materials will be checked out for an extended period.
We will contact you when your items are ready and give you a date and time for pick up.
- If you are having someone else pick up your books, we need to have their name in advance.
- When you come to pick up your materials, please drive up to the Meeting Room door and call us at (203) 924-1580, ext 5111. We will have you open your trunk or hatchback and we will put the materials in your car.
- If you have items to return, you must return them to the book drop at Plumb. No donations are accepted at this time.

Derby Public Library to start vestibule pickup Monday


DERBY - Get ready! Vestibule Pickup [at Derby Public Library] starts Monday, June 22.

Here is some information to know when you place your holds:
1. Search online for material that we own and preferably ones we have available. There is no delivery between libraries for the time being. Click here to browse: https://bit.ly/30FpGJq

You can also email us at dplreference@biblio.org or call us at 203-736-1482 to have a librarian help place holds on your account. Please have your library card handy.
2. Limit to five (5) items per adult/YA library card and ten (10) items per Child card.
3. Pickup appointments are currently Monday-Friday, 9:30 a.m.-1 p.m.
4. When you arrive, enter the vestibule on Elizabeth Street look for the book cart, locate 1st 4 letters of your last and the first initial of your first name, then grab and go!
5. Yes, you can return items when you come to pick up! The book drops are open! Items have to be quarantined for 72 hours when they are returned, so they won't come off your account right away, but check again in a few days.
