Recuperation journey: In the kitchen

Mmm ... chocolate chip cookies.

Regular readers and those who know me may recall that my culinary skills could stand some improvement.

But I can add half a cup of butter and an egg to a cookie mix, mix the dough, drop spoonfuls onto a baking sheet, and bake the blobs for the right amount of time at the right temperature.

They may not be pretty, but they are delicious.

I'm done in the kitchen for today. Takeout is on the menu tonight for us.

Recuperation journey: De-cluttering

Since it's almost spring I thought it was time to de-clutter.

I started this morning with a kitchen cabinet that can be used to store pantry items.
Mis-matched plastic containers and lids of various sizes now reside in the recycle bin.

Half of the contents of a decades-old bottle of liqueur? Flushed away.
And the bottle will be recycled.

Now I have an empty shelf in a kitchen cabinet! It's a start.
