Wesley Heights Cottages are Independent Living market rate cottage rentals. All cottages offer one-floor living.  Monthly market rental rates apply. Cottages are available for $1,992/month, with limited availability. (For all cottage tours, please enter through Wesley Heights Assisted Living Community.) 

Lifestyle Transitions offers Specialized Assisted Living & Memory Support options, with a unique design that allows for maximized independence throughout transitions of care. Options include a variety of apartment styles for individuals and/or couples. (Lifestyle Transitions is located in the Northwest Wing of Wesley Heights Assisted Living Community; please use Wesley Heights main entrance for all tours.)

Derby Public Library continues coloring craze for adults

DERBY- The Derby Public Library continues its monthly Color Club for Adults at 6:30 p.m. on the first Monday of every month.  
Come and join the color craze - it’s not just for kids any more!
The next session is June 6.  

Coloring sheets, along with crayons, markers, and colored pencils are provided but you are welcomed to bring 
your own materials.
This simple activity provides social, mental health, and creative benefits.  

Relaxing music and light snacks are included.  
No specific skills or preparation needed, just a desire to relax and de-stress.
Registration is requested.

Learn about volunteering at Griffin Hospital in Derby

The Community Health Resource Center at Griffin Hospital will host a presentation June 9 about how volunteering, like being a shuttle driver, can help individuals get or stay healthy./Submitted photo

DERBY -The Community Health Resource Center at Griffin Hospital will host a free presentation about how volunteering can help individuals get or stay healthy from 9:30-11 a.m. June 9.

Diane Betkoski, Director of Planetree Programs & Services and Laura Murphy, Planetree Services Supervisor, will host “Realizing the Health Benefits of Volunteering,” a free presentation on how and why helping others can have a direct effect on your physical, emotional, and social being.

There will also be information about the many volunteer opportunities at Griffin Hospital.

This program is part of a series of free, educational forums hosted by the Community Health Resource Center in an effort to help improve the health of the community.

The Community Health Resource Center at Griffin Hospital is a traditional library that provides an array of medical and health information, including a large collection of easy to read health and lifestyle related materials.
