Economic development forum slated Friday at Ansonia Senior Center


ANSONIA - Greater Valley Chamber of Commerce, in partnership with the City, invites you to join us Sept. 22 for a morning breakfast forum with Mayor David S. Cassetti and his economic development team to discuss the Ansonia economy.

Following welcoming remarks by our sponsor and host, Cassetti will join Sheila O’Malley, Economic Development Director, to review initiatives underway in the City.

This will be followed by a panel discussion featuring local business leaders and developers.

Check-in, continental breakfast from Munch Eatery, tours and networking are 8-8:30 a.m.
Program is from 8:30- 9:15 a.m.

TEAM, Inc. to hold Housing Forum at Inn at Villa Bianca in Seymour


Every town has its own housing needs. Meeting those needs can:

ANSONIA - Superintendent of Schools Carol Merlone and the Board of Education will host a forum, An Honest Conversation about Diversity in our Schools, from 5-8:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Boys and Girls Club, 28 Howard Ave.

Dinner will be served.

Capitol Conversation with Valley lawmakers slated in Shelton


SHELTON - The New Haven Manufacturers Association and the Greater Valley Chamber of Commerce will host a Capitol Conversation with the Valley Legislative Delegation April 4.
The event will be held from 7:30-9 a.m. at PerkinElmer, 710 Bridgeport Ave.

"Due to the security requirements at PerkinElmer, advance registration is required for this event. No walk-ins will be permitted.

"With the Legislative session in Hartford in full swing, please join us for a conversation with the members of our local Valley Legislative Delegation about the status of the state budget and other issues impacting the Valley business community. 
Legislators are reaching out to hear from you about your priorities. 

"This special forum will be held in the new Conference Center at PerkinElmer in Shelton. Although free to attend, due to security requirements pre-registration is required (no walk-ins)."

Derby school officials, police team to host forum on safety, security

DERBY - Derby Public Schools and the Derby Police Department invite you to attend a community forum on School Safety and Security at 6 p.m. Tuesday in Derby Middle School cafetorium. 


Learn about the advancements made in our schools to help protect against threats and provide for a safe learning environment for all staff and students. 
This will be an opportunity for you to share your thoughts and ask questions as they relate to school security.
