Extreme heat forecast cancels Sunday's Master's Table dinner in Ansonia


TOMORROW'S DINNER IS CANCELLED due to extreme heat this weekend.

From Janette-Feltz Fedak:
"We have decided to cancel the meal tomorrow due to the expected high heat index of 105.
"The hall does not have air conditioning or enough fans to keep it cool enough for our volunteers or our guests. See you next month on August 14th. Stay safe and cool this weekend."

When: Sunday July 24 from 3:30-5 p.m. or until supplies last (rain or shine). I
If we need to cancel due to the weather, we will post it on Saturday on Facebook.
Where: Assumption Church Hall 61 N. Cliff St., Ansonia
❗️All meals will be take out only and you must be present to receive a meal.
❗️Park car and enter church hall, must wear a mask to enter. If you are unable to exit your car or don't want to come inside please speak to our volunteers outside and they will take your information and bring out your meal.
❗️Pick up meal and browse giveaway table.
❗️No restrooms available and no reentry.
❗️ We will be following all safety guidelines during this pandemic and we ask that you do as well. Please wear a mask.


Singer/songwriter to perform at Ansonia Nature Center


ANSONIA - Chris Rowlands, an award-winning singer and songwriter, will perform at 7 p.m. July 29 at the Ansonia Nature Center, 10 Deerfield Road.

Rowlands offers an interactive, kid-friendly presentation for those who love music and nature. He creatively blends music, comedy, and education fast-paced show that teaches and inspires. Rowlands brings animals to life through song, dance, puppets, and colorful props, to teach children about animals and their habitats. 

The Environment Magazine has honored him with its first E Award for his environmental education programs.
