Derby Neck Library hosts bilingual story time on Thursdays


DERBY - Every Thursday at 10:30 a.m., join Señor Bob in our Community Room at Derby Neck Library for a bilingual story time for speakers of all languages!

You’ll sing songs, listen to stories, and ¡se divertirán mucho! This program to promote foreign language skills is targeted for ages 3-5, but all are welcome.

View Geminids meteor shower tonight at Ansonia Nature Center

ANSONIA - Celebrate one of the last meteor showers of 2023 with Ranger Jeremy at the Ansonia Nature Center! 

The Geminids will fill the sky with 120 meteors per hour at its peak between 9 and 10 p.m. 

Bring appropriate clothes for the weather, chairs, and blankets for a relaxing view.

Where: Plumb Memorial Library, 65 Wooster St., Shelton

Ages: 6 months to 24 months old
SHELTON - Babies and their caregivers are welcome to listen to a story read by Plumb Memorial Library Children's Librarian, Miss Maura.
Then the group is welcome to play with library toys and meet some new friends too!
Registration is required for children only.

Center Stage in Shelton to present 'Carols & Cocktails' performances


 

SHELTON - Center Stage Theatre will present “A Center Stage Christmas: Carols & Cocktails” Dec. 15-17. Performances are at 7:30 p.m.
Get into the holiday spirit with some of your favorite Center Stage performers performing carols new and old accompanied by a live, three-piece band.

Center Stage Theatre is an inclusive and intergenerational community-based theatre providing high quality and affordable performances, educational programming and volunteer opportunities.
