Designed for adults of all experience levels, this program will explore real-world applications of artificial intelligence through live demonstrations and practical examples.

Topics will include Windows dictation tools, creating and summarizing documents in Microsoft Word, using Amazon image search to identify products, and making the most of Google Search and AI- powered search features. 

Participants will also learn about emerging AI assistants such as Gemini and Microsoft Copilot, along with useful smartphone features including voice dictation, predictive text, song identification, and image search tools.

Whether you are curious about artificial intelligence or interested in discovering ways technology can work more efficiently for you, this program will offer helpful insights and hands-on examples that participants can begin using right away.

Plumb Memorial Library in Shelton reports power interruption today

SHELTON - Due to electricity issues on Monday July 13, Plumb Memorial Library has no working elevator, no adult patron computers, no adult copier, no adult circulation or reference desk, no upstairs air conditioning, and limited lighting throughout the entire building.

The children's department has a working copier, working air conditioning, and a functioning circulation desk. 

Patrons can call Plumb Memorial Library at (203) 924-1580 or check this page for status updates.

Patrons can also visit the Huntington Branch, which opens at 10 am., as it is fully operational. We apologize for the inconvenience!

Tweens/teen gamers ages 12 and older should DEFINITELY join "The Guild", a NEW Dungeons and Dragons Club where you can be the Dungeon Master, guided by a seasoned DM Mr. Paul Clark, and create your own adventure. Snacks provided! 

Sessions will be held at noon on Saturday, July 18, and Saturday, Aug.15.

Come celebrate summer with making your own burger sliders, and enjoy right here at Plumb Library.

We can't use open flames/grills but recreate that grill look using our grill pans. Expect to make that "secret sauce" that is a crowd pleaser too!

Find foundational skills and knowledge in this Morning Motion class. 

This session will be introductions, basic concepts, and tips and tricks for a daily morning movement practice. This will include stretching, basic yoga poses, breathwork, and energy flow techniques that wake up the body at the start of your day. This class is perfect beginners.

Instructor bio: Shannon has been practicing yoga for over five years. Since working at a yoga studio and wellness center in 2021, she knew she wanted to help others physically, mentally, and spiritually. Shannon is Yoga Nidra, Yin Yoga, and Reiki Il certified, and is currently pursuing her Reiki Masters certification. 

Her future prospects include opening a wellness practice of her own. In her free time, Shannon enjoys reading, writing, painting, and being in nature as much as possible.
