Plumb Memorial Library in Shelton to host Dungeons & Dragons Club

Tweens/teen gamers ages 12 and older should DEFINITELY join "The Guild", a NEW Dungeons and Dragons Club where you can be the Dungeon Master, guided by a seasoned DM Mr. Paul Clark, and create your own adventure. Snacks provided! 

Sessions will be held at noon on Saturday, July 18, and Saturday, Aug.15.

Teen chefs to create burgers at Plumb Memorial Library in Shelton


Teen Chefs: Burger Sliders
Come celebrate summer with making your own burger sliders, and enjoy right here at Plumb Library.
We can't use open flames/grills but recreate that grill look using our grill pans. Expect to make that "secret sauce" that is a crowd pleaser too!

Program is geared toward ages 12 and older, and registration is required. Scan the QR code in the image for registration page.

Who wants to get up and MOVE!? Join Miss Amy as she teaches 4 Zumba classes to teens ages 13 and older. Miss Amy is a certified personal trainer who comes to Plumb with a WEALTH of knowledge of all things fitness. She will give teens the basic overview as each class builds upon one another.

Seymour Public Library to host interactive science workshop

SEYMOUR - In this interactive workshop at 2 p.m. Aug. 9 at Seymour Public Library, you won’t just WATCH science experiments being presented. You’ll get to do them yourself! 
Join us as we experiment with some of the coolest experiments around, using leaf blowers, confetti cannons, liquid foam, nail polish remover, and more!

Huntington Branch Library to host Teen Laser Tag at Community Center field


Teen Laser Tag!
Ages: Teens 13 and older
Location: Huntington Branch Library/Community Center field
Day/Times: June 17, 1 p.m. and 2 p.m.
 
SHELTON - What better way to round out the school year AND celebrate the launch of Shelton Libraries’ Summer Reading Program than with Laser Tag! 
“Laser Tag on the Go” will be setting up shop at the Shelton Community Center baseball field. 

The Library is located in the Community Center, 41 Church St.
Teens, 13 and older, can sign up for one of the two sessions. 
They will be shown the equipment, and various types of games will be played. This is a teen only event. 
This will be an outdoor event so dress accordingly. As always, library programs are FREE!

Register now for Dungeons and Dragons sessions at Huntington Branch Library


SHELTON - Registration for Dungeons and Dragons for teens 13 and up is now open!
Join us at Huntington Branch Library for a special 2-session Dungeons & Dragons 5E event!
Session 1 on 6/30: Create a character and create your adventure map.
Session 2 on 7/7: Join a one-shot adventure using the character and map you created in Session 1.
Everything you need to participate will be provided.
The Library is at 41 Church St.

Teens must be able to attend BOTH sessions in order to register. Each teen must be registered individually.

Derby Public Library to hold Virtual Teen Taker-Maker Space


DERBY - Derby Public Library invites young adults up to age 17 to a virtual gathering of the Teen Taker-Maker Space from 3:30-4:30 p.m. Thursday. 

Tweens ages 10-11 are also welcome. 

Kits are limited to the first four registrants. Pickup of Solar Spider kits will be coordinated by telephone.
