Milford Oyster Festival to celebrate 50th anniversary Saturday


Celebrate 50 years of FUN at The Annual Milford Oyster Festival with great live music from 7 band on 2 stages, 30,000 fresh oysters, craft beer and wine, over 200 arts and craft vendors, car show, canoe and kayak races, children's activities and stage, amusement rides, civic and local business displays and lots of great food.

49th annual Milford Oyster Festival on tap Saturday


Saturday, Aug. 19 
10 a.m.- 6 p.m.
Downtown Milford

Lou Gramm

The Milford Oyster Festival welcomes Lou Gramm, one of the founding members of Foreigner, as our main stage headliner. 
Opening for Lou Gramm will be The Brothers Doobie, a Doobie Brothers Experience. 

There are lots of activities for all ages including more than 200 arts and craft vendors on the green, 30,000 locally sourced oysters, canoe and kayak races, amusements, a children's stage, annual car show, oyster eating and shucking contests, Main Street with local businesses, great food, craft beer and wine, a second stage at Lisman landing with three bands and loads of FUN! 

This is a free event and no tickets are needed.

Seymour Public Library to host arts and crafts event


SEYMOUR - Seymour Public Library will host an arts and crafts studio from 6-8 p.m. July 14. 

We’ll have all the materials you’ll need to make whatever craft you want! You just need to bring your imagination! 
Children under 12 require adult supervision. Registration is not required for this program.

Participation in our Summer Reading Program is not required to attend any of our free and fun programs.

Midsummer Fantasy Renaissance Faire slated at Warsaw Park in Ansonia



ANSONIA - Join us for a day of fun and celebration! 
The Midsummer Fantasy Renaissance Faire is holding a special one-day event filled with delicious food, magic, singing, sword fighting, and more! 
It will be held from 1-8 p.m. July 3 at Warsaw Park, 119 Pulaski Highway.
There will be food vendors available, as well as 15 arts and crafts vendors, and plenty of amazing performers.

DERBY - Tweens and teens are invited to join us [at Derby Neck Library] at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday over Zoom for arts and crafts like DIY pop sockets, duct tape wallets, jewelry, painting, and more!

Supply packs will be available via curbside pickup - call the library at 203-734-1492 to reserve yours!

Boys & Girls Club in Shelton offers more affordable rates for summer camp

SHELTON -Thanks to the generosity of our Valley community, the Boys & Girls Club of the Lower Naugatuck Valley is now offering summer camp more affordable rates and longer hours at our Shelton location. 
Camp will be open from 7:30 a.m.-6 p.m. for $185 a week, with a discounted sibling rate of $115.
Camp runs from June 22-Aug. 21. Space is still limited to 80 campers, and registration is first-come, first-served.
Our splash pad will be open every day (weather dependent) for all campers, as well as our air-conditioned facility. 
Activities include arts and crafts, outdoor time, indoor exercise, movies and educational activities. Each week will feature a special theme. 
Our camp is licensed by the State of Connecticut, and our staff are certified in first aid and CPR.
