Seymour Pumpkin Festival slated Sunday at French Memorial Park


SEYMOUR -The annual Seymour Pumpkin Festival will be held from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Sept. 22 at French Memorial Park, 62 Spruce St.

The event was started in 1965 and has been running strong since. It features live entertainment, food, crafts, vendors, family fun, activities for kids, and more!

56th annual Seymour Pumpkin Festival on tap at French Memorial Park 🎃

Police remind public of traffic delays Sunday around Seymour Pumpkin Festival


SEYMOUR - With the Pumpkin Festival right around the corner Seymour Police remind the public there will be traffic delays on the Route 67 (New Haven Avenue) corridor. 

The public is asked to recognize the designated parking areas and no parking signs on the day of the Festival.

Seymour Pumpkin Festival tradition to continue Sunday at French Memorial Park


SEYMOUR - The Seymour Pumpkin Festival will be held tomorrow from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. The festival that was started in 1965 is still running strong at French Memorial Park.

It features a large variety of homemade craft vendors, food vendors, live music, and kid-friendly activities!

Seymour Pumpkin Festival at French Memorial Park to feature creative contests


🎃 55th Annual Seymour Pumpkin Festival 🎃

                      

SEYMOUR - The 55th Annual Pumpkin Festival will be held Sept. 19 at French Memorial Park, 73 Spruce St. 

Everyone can become a part of the fun by entering one of our contests.  

Pumpkin Decorating Contest:  To participate in the pumpkin decorating contest, decorate a pumpkin prior to the festival.  

On the day of the festival, bring your decorated pumpkins to the Pumpkin Festival Headquarters Booth to be signed in. Pumpkins must be at headquarters by 12 noon. Judging will begin at 12:30 p.m.  Participants can then come and pick up their pumpkins to see if they have won.  

Costume Contest: To participate in the costume contest, children must come to the festival dressed in their Halloween costumes and march in a small parade. Please arrive on the baseball field by 11:45 a.m. so judging can promptly begin at 12 noon. After the parade, the children will receive a prize.

Create your own Scarecrow Contest:  This is a new contest at the Pumpkin Festival!  To participate, create a scarecrow prior to the festival.  

You can make it any size and out of any materials. On the day of the festival, bring your scarecrow to the Pumpkin Festival Headquarters Booth to be signed in. Scarecrows must be at headquarters by 12 noon.  

Judging will begin at 12:30 p.m. Participants can then come and pick up their scarecrows to see if they won a prize!

Be Creative! Have fun! We would love to have many participants this year!  We hope to see you at the festival!

Blue Collar Band to perform at Seymour Pumpkin Festival


SEYMOUR - The Blue Collar Band will be performing Sept. 22 at the 54th annual Seymour Pumpkin Festival. 
The event runs from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. at French Memorial Park. 
It will feature food and craft vendors, children's games, a petting zoo, rides, and more.
All proceeds are to benefit community organizations.

SEYMOUR - The annual Seymour Pumpkin Festival will be held from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Sept. 23 at French Memorial Park, 62 Spruce St. Admission is free.
There will be food, pumpkin decorating, costume contest, crafts, carnival rides, and more.
The event is hosted by Sullivan and Wallace Dry Goods.

Seymour readies 50th anniversary pumpkin fest

SEYMOUR - A half-century celebrating pumpkins and all things autumn.

This year the Seymour Pumpkin Festival is 50 years old, and residents are ready to celebrate.

The event will be held from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Sept. 20, rain or shine, at French Memorial Park.
