Project Purple hosting 'The Chamo' at Food Truck Friday in Seymour

"Food truck season is back and with the warmer weather, Project Purple is bringing some awesome food to downtown Seymour!

"To spread awareness of our mission to create a world without pancreatic cancer, we're bringing 6 different food trucks to 115 Main Street in the lot next to the train station.
"Trucks will be in the lot from 11 a.m. - 2 p.m. on a select Friday each month."

July 26 - Firehouse Grill & Food Trucks

BAD SONS in Derby raises funds for Seymour-based Project Purple

DERBY- BAD SONS Beer Co. featured Project Purple as their BAD SONS Doing Good Things charity tap recipient for December 2018 and January 2019!

BAD SONS selected its Light Rider lager as the charity tap for Project Purple, donating $1 of every pint sold in December 2018 and January 2019. 
BAD SONS also donated its tap area to host a Mullett Unplugged concert Jan. 4.
This event was sold out with 65 participants rocking the tap room floor! 
BAD SONS donated a percentage of the bar sales from that event to Project Purple.

The two events brought in $1,801 for Project Purple’s mission to raise awareness, support patients and families, and fund research efforts to defeat pancreatic cancer.

The Project Purple team would like to thank BAD SONS and Mullett. They would also like to send a special thank you to Zois Pizza, Antonio’s, and Dew Drop Inn for supporting our mission and the event on Jan. 4.

Zois Pizza in Seymour to host contest to benefit Project Purple

Shelton firm raises $4,805 for Seymour-based Project Purple

SEYMOUR - Staff members at Dworken, Hillman, LaMorte and Sterczala, P.C. in Shelton took it upon themselves to support Project Purple, a Seymour-based nonprofit, by naming the nonprofit as the recipient of its 2018 Jeans for Charity Fundraiser.

The staff was encouraged to donate to a fund which was matched by the firm every Friday, in exchange for being allowed to wear jeans. DHL&S raised more than $4,805 for Project Purple as part of its annual campaign.
DHL&S, which specializes in accounting, tax, auditing, and business consulting, has raised more than $58,905 for local charities with its Jeans for Charity campaign since 2004.

“Fundraisers like this are so important for spreading awareness and sharing our mission,” said Project Purple CEO Dino Verrelli.

Project Purple is a national charity that paid out $100,000 in patient financial aid to 152 patients and families who were fighting pancreatic cancer in 2018, while donating $1.38 million in research grants last year.

This cause is near and dear to the DHL&S office staff, as some of its members have been impacted personally by the disease.
“We are proud to support such a worthy organization,” DHL&S said in a Facebook post.

Food Truck Fridays in Seymour support Project Purple

SEYMOUR - On select Fridays, Project Purple is bringing some fantastic food trucks to downtown. 
It's all to drum up excitement for the Great Foodtruck Fundraise coming up Oct. 27.

Project Purple's mission is to find a cure for pancreatic cancer and improve the lives of patients through support, hope, and compassion.

Shred event in Seymour to benefit Project Purple

SEYMOUR - Project Purple is bringing Shred-it, a shredder truck, to downtown Saturday  to provide local residents and businesses an opportunity to dispose of unwanted personal papers to benefit pancreatic cancer research and patient financial aid. 

Project Purple asks those interested bring boxes of paper they would like to shred to 115 Main St. between 8 and 11 a.m. for a recommended $10 donation per box. 
2 Bills Grill, a food truck from Fairfield, will be selling sandwiches at the event.

Food truck fundraiser in Beacon Falls to benefit Project Purple

"Project Purple is ditching the running for the night, and instead we're playing cornhole to beat pancreatic cancer. Come for the cornhole and Jenga tournaments, and enjoy a large selection of food trucks from southern Connecticut. 
"Our office, located in scenic Beacon Falls, will close down Main Street for the day for the event. 
"Come and enjoy the music, the food, and the tournament; all while contributing to beating pancreatic cancer."
