Come kick off summer and celebrate America's 250th anniversary at the 2026 Beacon Hose Carnival -- it's Beacon Falls' biggest party! Here's the quick info you need to know:

 WHAT: The continuation of a tradition that stretches back to 1963, where we bring together old friends and new neighbors for fun, food, music, rides, and camaraderie -- and admission is free!
 WHEN: Thursday-Saturday, June 25-27.
 WHERE: Beacon Hose Co. No. 1 (35 North Main Street, Beacon Falls).
 WHY: Our volunteer fire department and EMS service's biggest annual fundraiser to help fund our many programs, including fire prevention, scholarships, youth sports, holiday celebrations, community events, perks for our volunteers, and more.

Here's what we've got on tap:

 $10,000 RAFFLE: It's back! The grand prize is $10,000, followed by 29 more cash prizes that bring the prize pool to $19,000. Tickets cost $20 and are currently on sale through the carnival. They can be purchased at the firehouse, through a Beacon Hose member, on our website (links above, below, or in the event ticket link), and at select local businesses.
 EAT IT UP: We know you love our carnival food! We've got all the classics, seafood, fried dough, sausage and peppers, loaded baked potatoes, and some new items coming.
 POUR ME SOMETHING: Domestic drafts, craft beers, hard cider, seltzers, and sangria over there at the beer truck!
 FUN FOR EVERYONE: Carnival rides and games from Marenna Amusements, live entertainment all three days on the Beacon Pizza Bar Main Street Stage and the Riverview Backstage, and a whole lot of fun.
 PARADE: One of the state's biggest parades will come down Main Street on June 27 at 5 p.m.

And finally, here's our schedule of events -- look for us to be adding a few things soon:

 THURSDAY: We're open from 6-10 p.m. We'll have classic rock from Majestic on the Beacon Pizza Bar Main Street Stage at 6:30 p.m. and more on the Riverview Backstage.
 FRIDAY: We're open from 6-11 p.m. We'll have country music from Austin Burr on the Beacon Pizza Bar Main Street Stage at 7 p.m., plus more on the Riverview Backstage.
 SATURDAY: The parade steps off at 5 p.m., and the carnival will be open from 5:30-11 p.m. with '80s throwbacks from The Pop Rocks on the Beacon Pizza Bar Main Street Stage after the parade. The $10,000 raffle drawing will be at 8:30 p.m., just after we award parade trophies.

The support of Beacon Falls residents and all friends of Beacon Hose is always loyal and always appreciated.

We're also seeking donations from local residents and sponsorships from local businesses to help offset the substantial costs of the running the event.

UPDATE: Gray has been located and is safe. 

The Ansonia Police Department is looking for the public’s assistance in locating Aaron Gray, a 26-year-old Ansonia resident who made statements of self-harm to members of his family. 

Gray is a black male with black hair and brown eyes, he is 5 feet 9 inches tall, and weighs 218 pounds. Last contact with his family was about 12 p.m. today [April 15] and was believed to be in the Seymour and Beacon Falls area. 

Gray may be in a 2018 Chevy Cruz color blue bearing CT license plate BU98778.

Griffin to host community health fair at St. Michael Church in Beacon Falls

BEACON FALLS - Griffin Health will host a Community Health Fair Oct. 25 from 9 a.m.-1:30 p.m. at St. Michael Church, 25 Maple Ave..

The event will feature a flu vaccination clinic, free diabetes and blood pressure screenings, and wellness information presented by caregivers from several Griffin Health services, including women’s health and breast health. 

Attendees can also learn about additional community health services, including Dynamic Smiles Orthodontics, Life Coaching Ministries of CT INC, wellness information from the Naugatuck Valley Health District, and Medicare assistance by Figlar Insurance.

The fair is a wonderful opportunity for attendees to learn about Griffin Health’s free wellness programs and its exceptional, person-centered care. It is open to individuals of all ages.

Beacon Hose Co. 1 to host Octoberfest in Beacon Falls Saturday

BEACON FALLS - It’s not Oktoberfest - it’s Beacon Hose Octoberfest, and after a four-year absence, we’re happy to announce that the event is back this fall!

Join us at Beacon Hose this Saturday, Oct. 14, from 11 a.m. until 7 p.m. for our third Octoberfest. Celebrate some of the year’s best weather with a day filled with good food, drinks, and family fun at our firehouse.

We'll feature a bunch of the best food trucks in the state, and we'll be announcing those vendors soon!

Besides all that delicious food, here's what else is on tap:

-- A wide selection of adult beverages thanks to Bumski's
-- Children's activities
-- Horseshoes, cornhole, giant pong, and giant Jenga
-- TVs streaming the day’s best college football action
-- Live entertainment

We’re excited to continue our new fall tradition here at Beacon Hose! 

Admission is free, and all of our food truck vendors kick back a portion of their sales to benefit Beacon Hose.
