Sharing request from Storm Engine Rescue and Ambulance Corps in Derby

Supplies Request
"We are turning to the public for help with our dwindling supply of PPE and cleaning supplies. It is nearly impossible for us to find supplies anywhere at this point. Our members are out on the front lines protecting our community and we need to be able to protect them and in turn be able to make sure all of our equipment can be cleaned.
"With many nonessential businesses already closed or closing this coming week, we ask that you donate the supplies you may have to your local first responders as they are in dire need of it.
"Some things we are looking for:
N95 Masks
P100 Masks
Surgical Masks
Disposable Gowns
Disposable Coveralls
Safety Glasses
Disinfectant Sprays
Disinfecting Wipes
Hand Sanitizer
"We are located at 151 Olivia St, Derby, CT 06418. Please contact us before stopping by. You can email us at derbystormambulance@gmail.com to let us know what you have and to set up a time to drop off.
"It is not just us in need of supplies. If you do not live in our community and are looking to donate, consider contacting your local Ambulance Services, Fire Departments, or Police Departments."

HARTFORD – State Rep. Nicole Klarides-Ditria, R-Seymour, officially became a member of the legislature’s bi-partisan Fire and EMS caucus on Tuesday during the first meeting of the newly formed caucus.

Klarides-Ditria said, “I look forward to working with my colleagues to find bi-partisan solutions that will benefit our public safety officers. It is also important to hear from our local firefighters and EMS officers regularly, and I encourage our public safety officers to reach out to me with their concerns or ideas so I can bring them to the Fire and EMS Caucus.”

Co-chairs, state Reps. Brian Ohler and Pat Boyd announced in May their plans to form the Fire and EMS Caucus.
The caucus will focus on specific public safety issues that first responders must navigate on a daily basis.
