St. Vincent de Paul Thrift Shop in Derby posts sales; needs turkeys, fixings

Come shop to support our pantry! The fact that you get incredible deals on our ever-changing stock and wares is an added bonus!
We have a lot still to do for Thanksgiving and are joyfully accepting turkeys and any nonperishable food!
We are so grateful for your steady and passionate support allowing us to help so many, so quickly in response to the SNAP cuts (now restored).

Recuperation journey 2.0: O-n-l-i-n-e shopping

Random thoughts on the fast-approaching holiday season.

I've surprised myself this year because I'm almost done with my Christmas shopping.
I have never been so efficient!

The good news is I'm getting better at organization.
The down side of getting most of your shopping done the week before Thanksgiving is you have a long wait before you can see the joy on the recipient's face when he or she opens your gift. At least I hope it's joy!
When you buy something around Dec. 22-23 it's a short amount of time to wait until you can give the present to your friend or family member.
I certainly don't like to rush time - it goes fast enough on its own. But it feels good knowing I have most of the work in the bag.

Seymour Oxford Food Bank seeks frozen turkeys for Thanksgiving

Good Morning Community!!!
We are in the FINAL STRETCH of collecting for our Thanksgiving Meal Distribution!!!
As you know, we have teamed up with the Seymour Oxford Food Bank, The Blessing Pantry, and the Oxford Neighbor to Neighbor Pantry to distribute meals to OVER 400 families this Thanksgiving.
Thankfully, our entire community has rallied around this effort!!!
Currently we are only 50 turkeys away from what we need. We KNOW with your help we can get there!!!
You can drop frozen turkeys at the Food Bank during routine business hours OR making arrangements to drop them to us.
If you have any questions, feel free to reach out to us or the food bank.
We are so grateful to our ENTIRE community for your support. You are the MAGIC that makes the holidays and EVERYDAY so special. ✨
We love and appreciate you!!!
