Seymour Pink postpones A Pink Night to Remember; sponsors sought

Dear Friends of Seymour Pink,
In light of the on-going pandemic and in an effort to keep everyone safe and healthy, we at Seymour Pink have decided to postpone our Pink Night to Remember.
It is our night to celebrate our survivors and spread hope, strength and unity within our community.
We have chosen Thursday, May 19, 2022, from 6-10 p.m. as our new date and time. Registration for this event at The Waterview in Monroe will take place on Sunday, April 10, 2022, beginning at noon. This night has always been a very special night for us during the year and we aim to keep it that way.
Our night will still include awesome food, complimentary cocktails throughout the evening, our signature wine glass, a few wine and beer samplings, a photo booth and a wonderful live auction and raffle.
AND of course, Live Entertainment by Trevor Curran !!!!!
As an all-volunteer organization, we realize that our success wouldn’t be possible without the support of our outstanding community. We thank you for helping to make this truly ‘A Night to Remember’ and more importantly, for making a significant impact in the lives of those affected by breast cancer.
For any potential sponsors our deadline for replies is March 31, 2022. More information regarding sponsorships will be published this coming week. We thank you for any consideration you can give.
Please feel free to reach out to us with any concerns you may have.
For more information about our non-profit organization, please visit us at: www.seymourpink.com
Thank you.

Seymour First Selectman updates winter storm postponements, closings

Shared from the Office of the First Selectman of Seymour Facebook page:

Text from this evening's Code Red:
This is the First Selectwoman Annmarie Drugonis with a winter storm update utilizing the Code Red system.
Current forecasts show Seymour is likely to be impacted by the incoming winter storm. We are likely to see significant snowfall and strong winds. Garbage collection will be postponed one day this week in anticipation of the storm. The transfer station, public library, and community center will be closed Monday. Town Hall may close as well, depending on storm conditions. As it is the last day of January tax collections, we recommend paying online or by phone if you have not already done so. Details on how to do so can be found on the Tax Collector’s webpage. We recommending checking the Town’s Facebook and website or calling ahead if you are planning on coming in person. We will update the Facebook page and website with additional information where necessary.
Thank you and stay safe.
