Rochelle invites public to attend Legislative Wrap Up at Derby City Hall

DerbyTown/City Clerk: Impending snow Tuesday closes 3 city buildings

Derby City Hall, Derby Senior Center, and the Derby Public Library will be closed on Tuesday, Feb. 13, 2024 due to weather conditions.

Water main break closes Derby City Hall today, June 13



Derby City Hall is closed today, 6-13-2023, due to a water main break outside the building. 
Staff will be working remotely and checking email.

If you need to bring any business paperwork to City Hall, please place it in the secure drop box adjacent to the parking lot.

DERBY - Derby City Hall will be open for regular hours on Thursday, June 8 - 8:30 a.m.-6 p.m.

Sewer line break closes Derby City Hall today, official says



"We regret to inform you that Derby City Hall will be closed on Wednesday June 7, 2023 due to a sewer line break above the Town Clerk's and Registrar of Voters Office suite.

Any deliveries may be left in the in the secure night deposit box adjacent to the parking lot.

If you need service from the Town Clerk's Office today, please reply to this email and we will be available to help you.

Again, we regret this information in more ways than you can think of!

Derby Cultural Commission raises flag of Pakistan to mark Ramadan


The Derby Cultural Commission raised the Pakistani flag today at City Hall to celebrate the Muslim holy month of Ramadan.


Mayor Richard Dziekan was joined by Farha Shumona, left, and Derby Cultural Commission chairwoman Suzanne Lanzaro at the flag raising.

Derby Cultural Commission to host Israel flag raising Tuesday at City Hall



DERBY - An Israel flag raising ceremony will be held at noon Tuesday, Oct. 4 at Derby City Hall. 

The holiest Jewish holiday Yom Kippur begins at sundown Tuesday and ends at sundown Wednesday.

The holiday is a Day of Atonement. It is celebrated by repentance, self-reflection, and 25 hours of fasting. 

Please join Mayor Richard Dziekan, staff, and the Derby Cultural Commission to celebrate this special holiday.
