Derby Cultural Commission to host Irish Flag Raising, dancers on St. Patrick's Day

 

The Kerry Boys to perform Irish music Saturday at Derby Neck Library

There is no registration required, but seating will fill up quickly. 

This program is sponsored by the Friends of the Derby Neck Library. 

Tradition continues as Ansonia celebrates the Irish at Saturday ceremony

Despite Saturday's chilly weather, talented students from the Mulkerin School of Irish Dance offered the crowd an energetic performance.

Lifelong resident Jim Crowley was named Ansonia's Mayor for the Day. He regaled the crowd with many family stories from years past in Ansonia. 

Kala Farnham sang beautiful Irish ballads as she played harp and guitar outside City Hall. 

Kudos go to the Ansonia Cultural Commission for once again presenting a great program.

Children invited to play St. Patrick's Day Bingo at Plumb Memorial Library in Shelton

Ages: 5 years old +

Wear your favorite green or rainbow colored outfit as we celebrate St. Patrick's Day by playing BINGO!

Correctly match 5 in a row and shout B-I-N-G-O for a chance at a prize!

Prizes this month will be generously provided by the Jr. Friends of the Shelton Libraries. Caregivers must remain with their children for program duration.
