The Ford E-450 buses are all equipped with W/C lifts and meet all ADA requirements for passenger transportation. All VTD vehicles have followed strict preventative maintenance guidelines throughout their service as required by the Federal Transit Administration and the Connecticut Department of Transportation.

DERBY - Griffin Hospital’s Healthy U program and The Valley Senior Services Council will host free presentations and information on caregiving resources in the community at 5:30 p.m. Thursday at the hospital, 130 Division St.
“Get to Know Your Resources” will feature a variety of presentations on caregiving from area resources, including Wesley Village UMH, Sunset Shores, Griffin Hospital Lifeline, Alzheimer’s Association, TEAM, Valley Transit District, and Agency on Aging.

This will be the first of four hearings that the Commission holds statewide this fall to gather testimony from the public, transportation providers, public officials and other entities concerning the operation of public transportation services, dial-a-ride and ADA transportation and other issues.
