"Our goal is to bring more awareness and education to the public about this disease and support to those that have been victimized by the breast cancer diagnosis.
"We continue to be so moved by the response of our community on this special day in October. So many members of our community wear pink, buy SEYMOUR PINK shirts, decorate their businesses, their homes with pink ribbons, pink balloons, pink flags etc.
"SEYMOUR goes PINK, PINK, and PINK! It is such a powerful statement about this disease and its impact on our community! It was at that point, SEYMOUR PINK became a 'community’s fight against breast cancer.'
"Each year, we hope that the momentum will continue to grow with local businesses, town agencies and departments and families getting involved by wearing PINK or displaying PINK at their places of work and residence. We would hope, that on that day, as many members of our community as possible would wear PINK! How will you increase awareness on that day?
"We look forward to going all-out Pink on Wednesday, October 20.

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
The nonprofit's "mission is to unite a community in the fight against breast cancer. Through fundraising efforts, our goal is to fund breast cancer research, provide education and to empower and assist breast cancer victims and their families."

 Pinkest House/Yard/Business Decorating Contest Sharing from Seymour Pink founder Mary Deming: "We love seeing all of the pink ribbons and encouraging messages and decor along our normal race route. Since we cannot be together, that doesn’t mean we cannot SEE MORE PINK. In fact, we can see even more! "We are challenging participants to decorate their house and/or yards pink for race weekend and the kickoff of Breast Cancer Awareness month [in October]. "Businesses and storefronts can participate too! Since we are virtual, everyone can participate – even if you’re not on our traditional race route and even if you’re not in Connecticut. Help everyone SEE MORE PINK this October.
