I post a photo of this tulip in our side yard every spring because it comes up every spring. And I always joke about my 'green thumb.' 
Below is the same tulip photographed Wednesday when the weather was gloomy.

A lonely tulip has emerged from a bed of dead leaves in our front yard.
I thought I'd better take a photo today before the deluge forecast for the next few days.
