Celebrate the animals of Halloween at Ansonia Nature Center program


Saturday, Oct. 28 at noon

ANSONIA - Come and learn about the Nature Center’s resident animals at this special creature feature celebrating the animals of Halloween.

The staff will talk about the different species of mammals, reptiles, insects, and birds we have on display. You may perhaps get a glimpse at some rarely seen critters that call the Nature Center home. 

We will also teach the children how to touch and handle some of these soft, scaly, and slimy creatures.

Snake's alive! Ansonia Nature Center to host program on reptiles

A SNAKE'S LIFE 

ANSONIA - At the Ansonia Nature Center we have two beautiful snakes, E.T. our Ball Python, and Milkshake the Milk Snake. 
Come and learn about these two amazing creatures, as well as their relatives, with Ranger Jeremy during this family-friendly event at noon Jan. 15.
You will be able to get up close and personal with them during our live animal showcase. Please register in advance at ansnaturectr@ansoniact.org

Beacon Falls Public Library to host study break program with reptiles

BEACON FALLS - Beacon Falls Public Library will host a low-key, low-stress program from 2-3 p.m. Saturday that allows for hands-on time with some very chill lizards.

Due to the nature of this program, it is limited to current Grades 6-12. There can be no exceptions. Space is very limited; registration is required. 

This program is in person (to be held outdoors), and will require masks, and social distancing when possible. 

Participants must be able to be responsible about following safety guidelines and follow instructions about the handling of the reptiles.

The Library is at 10 Maple Ave.

Raptors, reptiles to visit Ansonia Library

Christine Peyreigne is a licensed falconer, wildlife rehabilitator for migratory birds and educator with raptors and reptiles.

ANSONIA - Christine's Critters will visit the Ansonia Library to present a Raptors and Reptiles program at 10 a.m. Aug. 16.

Come out and meet some educational ambassadors and learn about these amazing animals.
