DERBY - The Derby 350th holiday ornament, along with other items, are available for purchase at the Town Clerk's Office during regular business hours.

We have commemorative bells, coins, ornaments, magnets, patches, sweatshirt hoodies, and t-shirts. They make a great holiday gift and are reasonably priced.

We will provide you with a few DIY LEGO gift options to choose from plus the LEGO bricks, directions, and other necessary supplies to create a one-of-a-kind holiday present! 

Children will be building their own gift, then wrapping the gift with provided paper, tissue paper, and bows! Caregivers will be helping their child during this program.

ANSONIA - Create gifts for your loved ones out of recycled materials in a free program at 1:30 p.m. Feb. 12 at Ansonia Nature and Recreation Center.

Up-cycle an old honey bottle into a colorful, mesmerizing sensory jar for your beary-special someone this Valentine’s Day (or make one just for fun!) 

Supplies are provided, but you are welcome to bring small odds and ends such as beads and buttons if you like. 

This will be a fun day to share with your family and friends!

The Junior Friends of the Shelton Libraries are offering gift wrapping during the month of December as their community service project! 

Patrons can register for a 20-minute gift wrapping time slot with a limit of five items to be wrapped; the library will provide the paper, tags, and bows.

Giving at this time of year is so much fun and we will make some gifts for nature who really need it at this time of year.

Supplies you will need to follow along:

• A ½ gallon milk carton, cleaned (plastic or paper is fine)
• Scissors
• String
• Acrylic paints or Permanent markers (to decorate)
• Pinecones
• Toilet paper and/or Paper Towel tubes
• Vegetable Shortening
• Bird seed or Sunflower Seed (Please consider choice if you have a nut allergy)
