Valley lawmakers to hold meeting at Derby City Hall


Accountant to address Seymour-Oxford Rotary Club

SEYMOUR - The Seymour-Oxford Rotary Club will welcome David J. Wojtowicz, an accountant in Seymour, Feb. 1 at its 7:15 a.m. breakfast meeting at Route 67 Diner, Klarides Village, Route 67.

Wojtowicz will discuss tax changes and challenges for preparing income taxes for 2017.

Fellow Rotarians and interested persons are cordially invited to attend.

Master's Table slates February meals at Assumption Church hall in Ansonia

James Fedak Jr., President, Master's Table, said in an email: "Please note that there is only one dinner this month, and the breakfast is the week after (the dinner) not before like it usually is."

Cheerleading competition held in Seymour in memory of Nina Poeta

A TV photographer zooms in Saturday on a collage of photos of Nina Poeta, a Seymour High School cheerleader who died Nov. 1, 2014 at age 17 after battling an inoperable brain tumor. 
Seymour High School Varsity Cheerleaders hosted the 10th annual Wildcat Open - "Bring it on for Nina," at Seymour Middle School. This is the third year the competition was dedicated to Nina's memory.
