Recuperation journey: January thaw?

I'll take this weather! Today the forecast for Ansonia calls for a high of 44 degrees.

From the little I've read about it, there often seems to be a rise in temperature in the days around Jan. 20.
If so, we are right on track. 

Whatever this period of moderating temperatures is called, I like it.
