Great Hill UMC in Seymour to host Chili Cook-Off fundraiser

SEYMOUR - Great Hill United Methodist Church will host a Chili Cookoff Dinner Saturday, March 15 from 5:30-7 p.m. (or while supplies last). 

For $12.50, enjoy either a bowl of chili with toppings and cornbread or a hot dog with toppings. Both dinners come with sides of coleslaw, mac & cheese, and bag of chips, as well as a beverage and dessert in the church’s fellowship hall. Diners will have a chance to taste from a selection of specialty chilis and vote on their favorite.

"Master’s Table Community Meals is postponing all meals till further notice. This is temporary, due to COVID-19. We hope you understand that we have not made this decision lightly and we will closely monitor the situation and change these plans accordingly, as appropriate. 

"We will email everyone once it is confirmed that we can resume our meals.

Master's Table to host 2 dinners at Assumption Church hall in Ansonia

Church in Shelton to hold 17th annual Lenten fish fry dinners

SHELTON - First United Methodist Church of Shelton is holding its 17th annual Lenten fish fry dinners.

Each Friday in Lent, from 5:30-7 p.m. Friday through April 12, the church will offer some home cooking, including baked or fried fish, choice of potato, pasta, homemade coleslaw, dessert, and beverages. 
Prices are $16 for adults, $14 for seniors (60 and older) and $6 for children 12 and younger. No reservations needed. 
Dine in or take out.

First United Methodist Church is located at 188 Rocky Rest Road (corner of Long Hill Avenue and Rocky Rest Road). 
The hall is handicapped accessible, including a new handicapped bathroom.
