Derby Public Library seeks book donations for book swap, sale Jan. 10


DERBY - Derby Public Library will host a Sweater Weather Book Swap and Bake Sale Jan. 10 to benefit Friends of Derby Public Library. 

It will take place from 9 a.m.- 2 p.m. We want to thank all those who have already dropped off books for the upcoming book sale. 

Next book drop off will be tomorrow, Oct. 18 from 9 a.m.-2 p.m.

Plumb Memorial Library in Shelton puts book donations on hold

"Due to the upcoming renovation at Plumb Memorial Library, as of Sept. 13 we are no longer accepting book and media donations until further notice. 
The Friends of the Shelton Libraries will also not be having their annual October book sale this year but plan to be back with the spring sale next year!

Echo Hose collecting books for Vicki Soto Memorial Fund, Shelton schools


SHELTON - Before the new school year begins, Echo Hose Hook & Ladder Company 1 and Auxiliary would like to help The Vicki Soto Memorial Fund, Inc. and the Shelton school district fill their classroom libraries!

The fire company will hold its annual book drive from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Sept. 1 at its headquarters, 379 Coram Ave.

Seeking donations of new or lightly used books for students in Kindergarten and Grades 1-12. 
The effort will benefit the “Miss Soto’s Literacy Legacy Program.”
