Seymour Public Library to show movie 'A Good Person' Friday
SEYMOUR - Join us at 10:30 a.m. Friday in the lower level auditorium of Seymour Public Library to watch a movie! Light refreshments will be served.
The Library is at 46 Church St.
We'll be showing "A Good Person" starring Florence Pugh, Morgan Freeman, Molly Shannon, Chinaza Uche, Celeste O'Connor, and Zoe Lister-Jones.
It is rated R and its duration is 2 hours, 5 minutes.
Summary: Allison is a young woman with a wonderful fiancé, a blossoming career, and supportive family and friends.
However, her world crumbles in the blink of an eye when she survives an unimaginable tragedy, emerging from recovery with an opioid addiction and unresolved grief. In the following years, she forms an unlikely friendship with her would-be father-in-law that gives her a fighting chance to put her life back together and move forward.

ANSONIA - Join ranger Dawn from 2-3 p.m. June 10 for an introduction to a fun and thrilling activity called Geocaching.
Learn the terminology, how to log caches, and a brief history of this interactive “game.”
The Nature Center has several located on its property. Be prepared to go on a hike to find some of the hidden surprises. Once you learn how easy this is, you can go outside and explore the many places in nature where these have been placed for your enjoyment. Wear appropriate foot gear and bug spray.
The class is limited to 30 participants. The Nature Center is located at 10 Deerfield Lane.

Little Free Pantry on Skokorat in Seymour posts donation wish list
Weekly wish list
Thank you EVERYONE who has been dropping off donations! The Pantry remains insanely busy. Last month we distributed over 1,400 lbs of food which was over 150 lbs more than ever before. EVERY LITTLE BIT helps make a difference.
Right now our most needed items are:
PROTEINS (tuna, chicken, salmon, nuts) shelf stable milk microwave meals (Hormel, Chef Boyardee, instant mac and cheese) pasta & sauce snacks (popcorn, crackers, granola bars)Hygiene products like tooth brushes, tooth paste, soap, pads/tampons, and shampoo are also always needed and deeply appreciated.
You can drop off items in person by either placing them directly into the Pantry or into the black donation bin by our garage door.

Enjoy full strawberry moon hike Sunday night at Ansonia Nature Center

ANSONIA - Join us at 8 p.m. Sunday at the Ansonia Nature and Recreation Center for this popular hike to see the Full Strawberry Moon.
The full moon will be on June 3 at 11:42 PM EDT or June 4 at 3:42 AM UTC so we will enjoy its beauty the next night.
This will be the third full moon of the spring 2023 season, occurring about two weeks before the Summer Solstice.
The June Strawberry Full Moon will be the full moon in Sagittarius. An adult must accompany each child.
The number of participants is limited, so please pre-register at ansnaturectr@ansoniact.org.
FEE: $3 per person. Wear appropriate footwear.
